About Techtonics

We love our work
Formed years ago by members of the prestigious Math Team at Stuyvesant, the group's initial focus was to win robot competitions. It was a one-of-a-kind band of students. Techtonics was, and still is, a real robotics team, not just a club. It brought together the best and brightest, the ones strong in math and sciences, the ones who knew how to get things done, and the ones who did them.

As with any group of thoughtful tinkerers like ours, we had more ideas than we had competitions to use them in. We expanded by taking on construction of Stuyvesant Science Olympiad's robots. We searched for new ways to prove ourselves. Techtonics began to work on zany member projects, ranging from airplanes to software to artillery. With the freedom to do what we liked, Techtonics began to offer ambitious research opportunities to its members to expand their skill sets and generate enthusiasm for science education.

Our combination of aggressive on-season competition and off-season training has graduated talented, skilled young adults who are thriving at top schools and remain devoted to our team.
